Healthcare Assistant
to join our compassionate and diverse team in Wirral- a group of professionals committed to supporting individuals in Wirral with compassion.

Our Wirral service thrives as a dynamic and collaborative team, featuring a dedicated staff including a service manager, consultant psychiatrist, medical professionals, caring nurses, attentive healthcare assistants, empathetic recovery staff, dedicated volunteers, efficient administrators, and supportive peer mentors.

The Healthcare assistant role is a varied one, the successful candidate will be an integral member of a multidisciplinary team, supporting with specialist clinical interventions to people who use our services.


About the role


  • Working closely with your Nursing team to develop pathways to care
  • Support service users in opiate and alcohol interventions.
  • You will support on harm reduction interventions along with physical and mental health assessments.
  • Keeping the people who use our services at the heart of everything you do



About you


  • Good interpersonal skills and a willingness to work flexibly as part of a team
  • Experience of working within substance misuse or a social care setting would be an advantage but not essential
  • A clear understanding of the need for and ability to deliver quality services
  • Good organisational skills
  • Confidence to work on own initiative as well as part of the team
  • Communicate confidently and effectively, verbally and in writing
  • Respond flexibly to the demands of the post
