The successful candidate will be based in the Haemodialysis Unit and will work closely with the Team Leader, Home Therapies specialist practitioners and Nephrology team for ongoing development of the nephrology service.
An exciting opportunity has arisen within the Paediatric Haemodialysis Unit for an experienced Band 5 to join our team.

We are looking for a positive, hardworking, and motivated nurse with an interest in nephrology to join our friendly team on a 37.5 hours per week basis.

As one of only 13 centres in the UK delivering vital haemodialysis to children, this role will give you the opportunity to become a clinical expert. In addition, our home haemodialysis service is up and running and we are proud to be the first unit in the North of England to offer a home haemodialysis training programme and ongoing support for our patients.

We are in the process of developing our existing Haemodialysis Unit which accommodates children requiring in-hospital haemodialysis, lipid apheresis and plasma exchange into a Paediatric Renal Hub, which will be the point of contact for all children on all modalities of dialysis. This is a unique opportunity to be present during this exciting time in our Unit’s history.

You will gain exposure to all renal replacement therapies to improve patient care by providing easy access to expert knowledge and advice 6 days a week.

You will support children with renal disease and their families from the time of diagnosis and throughout their treatment ensuring patient safety and patient experience. Knowledge and experience in the treatment and management of children requiring renal therapies is essential.
