MENTAL HEALTH
Swansea Bay University Health Board is seeking a Consultant in Child & Adolescent Psychiatry to join its multidisciplinary community Child & Adolescent Mental Health Service (CAMHS) in Port Talbot. The successful candidate will work within a diverse clinical team, which includes psychiatrists, nurses, psychologists, and therapists, to deliver comprehensive mental health services for children and adolescents. This role involves collaborating with local authorities, schools, and other health services to provide various CAMH functions, including local primary mental health support, crisis intervention, and ongoing care.

The consultant will play a pivotal role in enhancing mental health services for the community, engaging with both outpatient and inpatient resources, and ensuring effective multidisciplinary cooperation. The position requires a strong commitment to improving child and adolescent mental health outcomes, and the candidate will work closely with regional inpatient units as well as community pediatric and adult mental health services to facilitate coordinated care.
