We are looking to recruit an experienced nurse able to take on a dual role –

  • Provide Nursing support to our expert team of clinical staff on day shifts as part of our dynamic, highly reputable multidisciplinary team
  • Work with the Senior Discharge Planners, Matrons, Lead Nurse and Medical Team to manage the Discharge Planning & In-Reach service on the unit. As a Junior sister you should hold both a neonatal and mentorship qualification and have some previous experience at band 6. You will be supported in developing management skills through individualised professional leadership and clinical development.

  • To coordinate the In-reach Clinic working closely with the senior Neonatal Discharge Planners and community services to actively reduce length of stay.
  • To work in partnership with the multidisciplinary team and senior discharge Planners to actively determine the best place for continuing care of each baby, whether this is staying on the unit, transfer to their local hospital, home or paediatric ward.
  • Work closely with the Senior Nurses and senior Discharge Planners to manage patient flow from admission through to discharge whilst maintaining high quality patient care and efficient use of resources.
