An exciting opportunity has arisen for 2 HCSWs to join the Eye Out-Patient Department Team at Aberdeen Royal Infirmary. Appropriate training and support will be given to work in this busy, varied and fast paced department. There are 2 full time posts available, we will happily consider candidates who require more flexible working hours and who may prefer part time hours.

We have a great track record of being flexible with staff hours within our Monday-Friday service, and normally open between the hours of 8am-6pm
.
The odd evening/weekend clinic can become available due to being such a high demand service however this is optional to all staff.
Applications are invited from any enthusiastic, highly motivated individual who would enjoy the challenge of this progressive unit. You will have an interest in the Ambulatory Ophthalmic patient and will be supported by experienced Ophthalmic Nurses, other HCSWs and the wider multi-disciplinary team within the Eye Clinic. The successful candidate will develop new skills in a supportive environment, including visual acuity testing, fields testing, venepuncture, vital signs recording, working alongside specialists within our eye injection room. There are also exciting opportunities for development within Ophthalmology, the job description for this post makes interesting reading.
