An exciting opportunity has arisen for a suitably qualified, experienced dental nurse to join the Dental Nurse team within Dundee Dental Hospital & School.

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a suitably qualified, experienced dental nurse to join the Dental Nurse team within Dundee Dental Hospital & School. The post holder will be expected to work throughout the site covering a variety of specialities including Oral Surgery, Oral Medicine, Restorative Dentistry, Orthodontics, Paediatric Dentistry and OMFU services. There may also be a requirement to provide dental nursing support for the service within Broxden Dental Care Centre. This post provides an opportunity to develop specialist nursing knowledge and skills.
You will work within a clinical team that values patient safety and the delivery of safe, effective, high quality care within a challenging environment. You should have the ability to work within a large diverse team, be motivated and committed to delivering high standards of care.
You should have evidence of continuing personal development and demonstrate excellent communication skills along with a commitment to influencing change and improving standards of patient care.
You must possess a recognisable Dental Nurse qualification and be registered or registration pending with the GDC

Hours of work are: 37 hours per week for 3 posts
NHS Scotland is reducing their full time working week from 37.5 to 37 hours per week from 1 April 2024 but with no change in pay. This reduction will also be applied pro rata for part time staff. This advert and any subsequent offer/contract of employment therefore reflects the new working hours. However, as not all service areas will be able to adopt the 37 hour working week immediately from 1 April 2024, you may be required to work up to an additional 30 minutes per week for a temporary period for which you would be paid until the service you are working in changes rosters or working patterns to accommodate the new reduced working week.
