Neonatal Services for United Lincolnshire Hospitals NHS Trust operate at both Lincoln County & Boston Pilgrim Hospitals.The Local Neonatal Unit at Boston Pilgrim Hospital has 12 cots and provides short term intensive care, high dependency and Special Care to babies from Lincolnshire and the surrounding counties. Transitional care is located on the ward and provides care for 4 cots

An enthusiastic registered first level Nurse (RGN/RN-Child) is sought for the role of Band 6 Clinical Educator within the Neonatal Service at Boston Pilgrim Hospital with the expectation of covering educational needs as required at Lincoln County Hospital. The Clinical Educator will be responsible for facilitating effective training & education programmes in order to clinically and professionally develop staff within the Neonatal service.The successful candidate will have proven experience in the provision of Neonatal Intensive Care and be qualified in speciality (QIS). Furthermore, a recognised teaching qualification and evidence of study at academic level 6 is essential. Evidence of involvement in research/ audit would be advantageous.

Lead the development of a positive learning culture.Act as an authoritative resource for the Neonatal Education StrategyProvide strong clinical leadership skills, supporting, energising, inspiring and empowering others in pursuit of a shared vision to ensure the effective education of the Neonatal Nursing and support team.To be part of the Neonatal leadership team in ensuring that the clinical and managerial requirements of the speciality are met.To be responsible for the delivery of safe quality nursing care in accordance with clinical pathways and governance frameworks.
