The Home


Bannview House Care Home is a registered nursing home which provides nursing care for up to 58 patients. The home is divided in three units - the Downshire Unit which provides general nursing care as well as the Bronte and Scarva Units which provides care to people who have a dementia.

Patients have access to communal dining and lounge areas within each of the units. There is a residential care home which occupies part of the ground floor and the registered

manager for this home manages both services.


The Role


To provide high-quality person-centred care to the residents of the home, supporting with their everyday needs and contributing to their enjoyment of life.


Main Responsibilities


  • Assist qualified staff with care plans, tasks and activities to support the wellbeing, dignity and treatment of residents
  • Participate in activities, motivating and supporting residents to get involved
  • Assist residents with eating, drinking, washing, dressing and going to the toilet
  • Assess and observe the emotional and physical wellbeing of residents, recognising changes and reporting as necessary in a timely manner
  • Maintain accurate records, communicating effectively with residents and their families


You Will Need


  • To be a good listener, showing patience, compassion, empathy and understanding
  • A good standard of written and oral English
  • Experience in Health and Social Care not required as full training will be provided
  • The Right to Work in the UK
  • Be NISCC registered or eligible to register
