Band 3: £24,071 to £25,674 a year pa pro rata  PERMANENT

The purpose of this role is to assist with the effective operation of the Homecare Service. To work under the guidance and supervision of the Lead ATO - Homecare Services and Lead Pharmacist - HCD & Homecare. To ensure that the service runs smoothly by following SOPs and ensuring compliance. The post holder will be expected to communicate with a wide range of colleagues both internally and externally to resolve issues relating to Homecare Medicines/Prescriptions.

Administrative Responsibilities

o To ensure that all records are maintained following local Standard Operating Procedures.

o To ensure all documentation is scanned, filed, kept up to date and archived where necessary following the legal requirements for the retention of pharmaceutical records.

o To ensure that all audits are recorded and reported appropriately.

o To respect and maintain the confidentiality of patients and colleagues at all times.

o To generate purchase orders in response to prescriptions presented for homecare medicine services

o To ensure that prescriptions and Homecare registration documents are completed correctly to allow for funding processing

o To liaise with clinical leads, specialty staff and senior High Cost Drugs/Homecare and MPPH staff to resolve any discrepancies that may arise

o To ensure that all invoices, both paper and electronic, are processed for goods delivered in a timely manner compliant with WVT guidance, and forward to WVT Finance department accordingly

o To ensure that all invoices are monitored for variance from agreed purchase price and advise all such variances to line manager(s)

o To advise line manager(s) of advised interruptions in payment.
