Role specific duties

Reporting to the Matron for Pastoral Care, youll be contributing to the development of workforce integration to the Trust.

You will be committed to influencing the wellbeing and development of a culturally diverse workforce with an active and visible point of contact for all staff, especially new recruits to seek pastoral support throughout their employment.


Key Responsibilities

To support the Matron of Pastoral Care to lead international and domestic recruitment campaigns in line with the Trusts recruitment and resourcing strategy. Acting as an expert on international and domestic recruitment and best practice.

To lead on pastoral care and support required for all staff across the trust.

To work with the Care Groups to support the integration of the new recruits into their clinical teams, helping them to develop confidence and good working relationships with opportunities to discuss any concerns.

To provide clinical leadership to ensure agency reduction delivers person-centred, safe and effective care and develops the leadership capability of others. To maintain a highly visible presence across the range of responsibilities relevant to the role.

To lead on inclusive recruitment attraction strategies and plans enhancing recruitment of diverse teams and values-based recruitment as part of the Trusts People Strategy.

The post holder will work closely with HR and OD colleagues on workforce development leading on projects to develop new roles and innovative ways of working to support the recruitment and retention of staff.

To work with the Equality, Diversity and Inclusion team to support cultural awareness.

Act in accordance with your Code of Professional Conduct.


Duties and Responsibilities

To maintain credible links across the Care Groups and identified stakeholders to promote effective pastoral support.

Be flexible and adaptive to support new staff on a group/individual basis to complete the necessary registration processes required.

Contribute to all social media platforms to promote networks and information for international recruits. To prepare and present information to a wide range of audiences.

The post holder will work flexibly to meet the requirements of the role.

To play an active role in representation and promotion of the Trust Values.

Develop a culture of providing and accepting constructive feedback and use this to reflect on your own practice and that of others.

Promote an ethos of joint working, collaboration and mutual respect amongst all members of staff.
