Main duties of the job
The IV Service cares for patients in both clinic settings and their own homes throughout the West Sussex area.
The successful candidate will deliver high-quality care within a community setting, working towards patient rehabilitation, self-management, and independence. This role involves managing the day-to-day clinical needs of an identified caseload, undertaking initial assessments, and ongoing management of IV therapy.

- Act as an information resource for patients, their families, and multidisciplinary colleagues.

- Ensure compliance with Trust policies and procedures, maintaining high standards of clinical documentation and data protection.

- Evidence of a range of clinical competencies appropriate to the role
- ENB 998/Mentorship or equivalent or work towards

- 1 year post registration experience
- Clinical experience of IV therapy delivery and management of vascular access devices
- Experience in a community setting is desirable

- Good numeracy and literacy skills
- Demonstrates competency in a range of clinical skills including: IV administration, cannulation and venepuncture.
- IT literate or willing to achieve competency
- Experience / Proficiency with cannulation or willingness to learn.

- Identifies difficulties as challenges and works with others to identify solutions
- Ability to travel between sites, car owner/driver with access to a vehicle for work purposes
