Ensure processes are in place to manage sickness/absenteeism and take appropriate action in line with Trust policies. Promote the health and well-being of staff and observe for any signs of ill health or stress factors in staff assigned to the area and take appropriate action in line with Trust policies and NMC guidelines. Manage duty rotas/annual leave and study leave to ensure adequate nursing cover and appropriate skill mix. Participate in the recruitment and selection of staff.General The post holder is required to maintain current registration with the NMC. As senior sister you will be responsible for the effective and efficient operational management of the Outpatient department; Waveney suite and injection suite; Beccles AMD service including budget control, clinical governance, staff development and training. I provide professional leadership within the clinical area and provide direction, and inspirational leadership to all members of the multi-disciplinary team within the area for which they are accountable for and involved in the development of protocols / guidelines and patient information with other clinical ophthalmic nurses.
