To be able to attend the office within one hour during on-call shifts.

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES AND ACCOUNTABILITIES:

  • To provide a professional and caring service for all patients whilst in the care of Secure Care UK,ensuring that at all timespatient safety remains paramount and that safe systems of work are adhered to.

  • To support and transport vulnerable service users as part of a team.

  • To support the care of patients during assessment at 136 Suits in line with the Mental Health Act

  • Ensure that health and safety guidelines are followed according to current policies and proceduresand in line with HSE requirements.

  • To be able to attend the office within one hour during on-call shifts

  • Safeand respectfuluse of Company vehicle and equipmentensuring high standards of driving and cleanliness are maintained.

  • To ensure that appropriate Lifting and Handling techniques are applied as per training when moving patients under non-emergency conditions, using appropriate equipment or additional supports where necessary.

  • In the event of anincident,you may be required to administer first aid commensurate to your training, and / or provide social care in non-emergency situations

  • To ensure that the uniform is worn in accordance with the organisations work wear policy and mustwearyourID badge at all timeswhilst on duty.

  • To ensure that statutory regulations and organisational policies and procedures areimplemented and adhered to at all times. This will include but not limited toGeneralData ProtectionRegulation (GDPR 2, and accurate reporting of facts concerning accidents or incidents to control and hospital personnel in accordance with Secure Care UK Guidelines and the Company Incident Policy.

  • To take part in staff development programmes, regulardevelopment reviewsand annual performance development reviews and/or undertake further trainingif and whenrequired.

  • To work to the values of the organisation and display high standards of integrity and professionalism towards clients and colleagues, and toact at all timesin a manner consistent with legislation, policy and procedures in respect of Equality and Diversity.

  • To continuously develop and update own knowledge and skills within the job role and contribute to setting own work objectives, and to ensure up to date with company policies, procedures and staff handbook.

  • Safe use of Company vehicles and equipment, preparing required patient paperwork and driving to local and national locations.

Remuneration: £11.62 days £12.62 nights and weekendsor£25,900-£26,000 per year for fulltime contracts (enhanced pay of £1.20 extra per hour for work at a Mental Health place of safety and for bed watch activities, supporting ward staff)

Key Skills:

  • Valid UK Manual Driving Licence held for minimum of 1yr
  • Age over 21 due to company's insurance
  • Passion for working in a fast paced environment,
  • Able to reliably adapt and work well under pressure
  • Good written and verbal communication skills
  • Good knowledge of national geography desirable
