Band 2  FIXED TERM

Post: Radiology Clerical Officer/Receptionist


Band: 2


Hours: 37.5 hrs - 12hr days 8am-8pm on a rotational basis


Fixed Term for 12 months

The successful candidate will be based at Royal Bolton Hospital , but may be required to travel to Bolton One to provide reception support for our diagnostic services.

  1. To receive patients in the department.
  2. Review patient history to prevent radiation incidents
  3. Deal with all enquiries as appropriate.
  4. Maintain patient records to ensure information is accurate and up to date.
  5. To be responsible for ensuring that all information relating to the identification of the patient and any attendance details are correct.
  6. Registration of attendance details onto the Radiology Information System ensuring complete and accurate recording of all information required.
  7. Allocation of corresponding appointment to the Hospital appointment system (LE2.2)
  8. Production of appointment lists and attendance details as required.
  9. Allocation of routine appointments either by phone or letter
  10. General office duties, and cover for clerical staff as required.
  11. To maintain patient confidentiality and comply with the Data Protection Act.
