Job summaryThe successful candidate will work within the MDT to provide assessment and interventions for those referred to the service. A vital part of the role is the Triage function of the service, screening referrals and offering advice, guidance and signposting where necessary.
The candidate will be based within the Central Locality of Islington and work in a recovery-orientated approach, offering joint consultations with the MDT, as well as wider networks including GPs, interface services and the voluntary sector.
Phlebotomy qualification and/or experience is desirable.

About usThe Islington Practice Based Mental Health Service has grown over the last four years from a pilot service covering five GP practices to a fully commissioned service covering all GP practices in Islington. The team has a broad remit, working as one of the key points of access to secondary care community services in the Trust, and receives referrals from GPs, adult social care, housing, the police and voluntary sector services. The service sits on the boundary between primary and secondary care and aims to better integrate physical and mental health by working more closely with our GP colleagues in a flexible, creative and collaborative way.

Camden and Islington NHS Foundation Trust (C&I)
is going from strength to strength since it was originally established in 2021 forming the
North London Mental Health Partnership.
