Job summaryWe are looking for specialist injectors for ourPatient Support Programme (PSP) to provide on-site support to existingBotulinum Toxin (BoNT) services with the provision of dedicated NHS BoNTinjection clinics for patients previously diagnosed and treated for CervicalDystonia.
Main duties of the job - Current registration with relevant governing body (GMC, NMC, HCPC)
- Extensive BoNT administration experience with a minimum 2-year experience in an NHS toxin service. Experience working in 1 clinic per week conducting BoNT injections to include administration for Cervical Dystonia
- CV & reference to confirm competency in BoNT administration as an independent practitioner
- Ability to travel and work in Trust BoNT clinics on a flexible basis

Person Specification Experience Essential - Highly developed clinical skills in administering BoNT injections for the relevant indications
- Can manage clinic caseload within the Cervical Dystonia BoNT injection clinics (10-12 patients per session)
- Effective communication skills to empathically deliver information to patients, relatives and carers
- Adhere to all Trust guidelines / procedures for the safe and effective delivery of BoNT treatment
- Provide accurate updates to patient records and Trust reporting systems
- Works to and confirms that all BoNT treatment provided is on label for Toxin dose, muscle selected and frequency of injection
- Ownership of the referral process
- Complete and maintain any additional training requirements e.g., ongoing adverse event reporting required as part of the PSP program
Desirable - Experience & ability to use EMG or Ultrasound guidance alongside anatomical guidance.
- Experience with BoNT injections in other licensed indications for Hemifacial spasm & / or Blepharospasm
