Dialysis Assistant - Join Our Renal Care Team!

At Diaverum, we're thrilled to offer a fantastic opportunity for individuals to join our team in Kings Norton as a Dialysis Assistant. In this vital role, you'll support our nursing staff and deliver top-notch care to patients undergoing dialysis treatment.


Your Responsibilities:

  • Assisting registered nurses in providing comprehensive dialysis treatment.
  • Preparing, restoring, and maintaining clinical areas and equipment.
  • Monitoring and stocking consumable supplies to ensure smooth operation.
  • Escorting patients to and from the clinical area.
  • Contributing to patient documentation and managing phone inquiries.
  • Providing hands-on care under supervision, including preparing patients for dialysis, monitoring during treatment, and assisting with post-dialysis care.


Requirements:

  • GCSE education and NVQ3 in Health and Social Care.
  • At least two years of experience as a Health Care Assistant, with a focus on high-level patient care.
  • Proficiency in English and working knowledge of MS Office.
  • A compassionate and diligent approach to patient care.

  • Full-time position (37.5 hours per week), with paid breaks.
  • Monday to Saturday shifts, with
    no night or Sunday work.
  • Competitive Salary of up to £27,214 depending on any relevant dialysis experience.

We have an exciting opportunity in our Kings Norton clinic for a dialysis assistant who wants to make a difference in our patients lives. Working in partnership with the NHS, you will provide patient care according to Diaverum procedures under the supervision of a registered nurse. A comprehensive professional training programme will be provided to you, including on-the-job training, e-learning and access to our in-house education programme d Academy

To support team in the clinic area and to provide care within agreed competencies as per instructed by a registered nurse Prepare, restore and maintain areas, equipment and clinical supplies in readiness for dialysis. Conduct patient observations pre/post dialysis (blood pressure, weight). Prepare patients for dialysis programme machines and connect patients to commence treatment as directed by qualified personnel. Monitor throughout treatment reporting changing , incidents and patient feedback to responsible nurse. Follow dialysis, complete discontinuation procedures including wash back and removal of needles.
