We are currently recruiting Registered Nurses to join our wonderful team at St Monica’s Inpatient Unit in Easingwold. St Monica’s Hospital is a 12 bedded Integrated Care Community Inpatient Unit set in the idyllic market town of Easingwold tucked away at the foot of the Howardian Hills and is the Trust’s smallest community hospital. It provides high standards of rehabilitation, palliative and general nursing and medical and day care including physiotherapy and occupational therapy to patients who are registered with local GP surgeries As a member of our small but effective multi-disciplinary team and with the support of your highly experienced Senior Nursing Team, you will join an established team and have overall day to day responsibility for the efficient and effective delivery of high quality clinical care to ensure a positive patient experience.

The post requires staff with focus, enthusiasm, drive and commitment and an ability to work closely with Integrated and Primary Care colleagues to deliver patient focused holistic care. This is excellent for career progression for aspiring senior nurses who are looking to develop their leadership and management skills and professional portfolio.

  • Maintain a high standard of patient focused care in accordance with York and Scarborough Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust policies and procedures
  • Maintain a safe and clean working environment
  • Provide assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation of nursing care for patients, ensuring accurate written records are kept.
  • Communicate with patients and carers to ensure they have access to appropriate information.
  • Promote and maintain positive relationships between all staff involved in the care of the patient
  • Act in accordance with the Nursing and Midwifery Council Code of Conduct
  • Undertake duties on different wards/departments as and when required by service demands
  • Demonstrate personal responsibility for compliance with infection control policies and procedures
  • Education and Training
