Job summary - To support and deputise the Ward Sister/Charge Nurse toensure the provision of excellent nursing care within the bone marrow transplant /CAR -T Cell therapy and the effective management of staff and other resources.
- To carry out the day-to-day management and coordination of the unit. To ensure that there are education and training opportunities for all staff, including pre and post-registration students.
Main duties of the jobDo you have experience in caring for patients with Haematology conditions and a chemotherapy qualification?
- Would you like to begin to develop your managerial skills? If so, our Senior Staff Nurse post is for you.
- Ruth Myles Ward is a 13 bedded BMT/CAR-T cell therapy ward caring for patients with malignant and non-malignant diseases.
- The post holder will deliver all aspect of clinical care for patients undergoing allogeneic and autologous stem cell transplant and cellular therapy including CAR -T cell therapy.
- As part of a wider specialist service including a Haematology day unit, Apheresis unit , multiple haematology specialties, malignant and non-malignant haematology and psychological support services you will have a chance to enhance your nursing portfolio.
