Are you keen to be part of a large and friendly dietetic team? We are looking for a dynamic, enthusiastic, and confident individual to join us as a Dietetic Assistant Practitioner.
As a result of new funding for a 2-year fixed term contract, this role is now being advertised as a full-time position. The post holder will specifically support the expanding ketogenic service and work closely with the ketogenic Dietitian. The post holder will liaise with other members of our clinical teams and will be based at the Charles Dent Metabolic Unit in Queens Square WC1N.
Training in a nutritional analysis package will be provided as well as ketogenic diet therapy training modules to support your learning in this exciting area of dietetics.
The role will include direct contact with patients, liaising with dietetic and multidisciplinary teams within UCLH, at other hospitals and in the community, facilitating the care of patients coming to UCLH for treatment and managing provision of specialist nutrition products.
You should have the ability to work well within teams, be able to manage your time effectively, and have excellent communication skills. A good baseline knowledge of nutrition is required. An understanding of Home Enteral Feeding (HEF) would be an advantage, but training and supervision will be provided.
