This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced and enthusiastic respiratory nurse to join the Asthma Care Group within the Respiratory Service at the Trust.

The successful candidate will be part of the asthma team and have day to day responsibility, coordination and delivery of the specialist Biologic injectable asthma treatment and care.

Asthma care is an area of significant growth and change; the post will be required to adapt to, and lead these changes as part of the multidisciplinary team and we are therefore looking for an ambitious, well-motivated nurse who has demonstrable, interpersonal and organisational skills. A good understanding and experience of asthma patient care is essential.

This is an excellent opportunity for anyone wishing to develop their nursing knowledge and skills within a specialist service.

To coordinate and deliver injectable asthma services under Patient Groups Directives ensuring patients receive cyclical and continuous therapy as prescribed and directed by the asthma team.

To provide remote one to one support to asthma patients as referred by the asthma team by telephone, email and virtually via attend anywhere.

To facilitate and monitor the management of care for patients with asthma, both day cases and outpatients.

As part of the asthma team, deliver high service levels to asthma patients

To educate and support ambulatory care nurses at Royal Brompton and Harefield sites to deliver injectable asthma services and remote support.
