The OT is responsible for a defined caseload and will be required to deliver a comprehensive Occupational Therapy Service for service users on their caseload to meet the identified occupational and functional needs.
As a member of the multidisciplinary team the post-holder will provide a variety of person-centred assessments and interventions, promoting a recovery approach and social inclusion, to maximise activity of daily living skills and lifestyle management. This will include assessment and treatment on the unit, in community settings and home visits as appropriate to support the acute clinical pathway. Assessment and review of care packages and liaising with other organisations and health care providers will also be required, to enable service users to live as independently as possible.

Provision individual assessment, intervention and evaluation of treatment, delivered within the framework of NICE guidelines, evidence based best practice to maximise service users recovery and support with safe discharge
