Job summaryAn exciting opportunity for motivated and energetic nurse who enjoys working with children and young people with a variety of complex health and learning needs.
The role evolves working in a special school setting , alongside our education colleagues to ensure children and young people are given fair equal access to education.
Main duties of the jobWe are looking for 4 band 6 nurses to join a team of mixed skill nurses to support children and young people in a school for CYP aged between 4-19years old.
You will have good clinical skills as well as be willing to learn new skills. You will able to plan your workload and pre-empt the needs of the children on your caseload.
You will be giving tracheostomy care, feeds via jejunostomy, gastrostomy, safe administering of medication, airway maintenance using suctioning etc.
You will delivering care for the CYP while they are in their lessons and so their education is as uninterrupted as possible.
Your must also have good safeguarding awareness and be happy working within a team.
