An exciting opportunity has arisen for a dynamic and motivated individual to join our Daycare administration team. We are looking for a Receptionist Coordinator who will work to provide receptionist and administrational support across our services: chemotherapy, supportive care, ambulatory care, apheresis unit and TYA (teenage and young person’s unit).

We seek a candidate who thrives on challenges, has a desire for improving patient experience, and can work effectively in a fast-paced environment. Ideally you will have experience of working within an NHS or a healthcare setting, be a self-starter who is able to work on their own initiative as well as part of a wider team. As a key member of the team, your approach must be flexible with the ability to prioritise workloads. You will need to have a high level of professionalism, demonstrate a courteous and polite approach to patients and service users and enthusiastic in supporting the delivery of a high-quality service The shift pattern for this role consists of 08:00-16:00, 09:00-17:00 or 10:00 to 18:00. The post holder will be expected to work flexibly, rotating throughout the day-care department.

The post holder must promote and contribute towards achieving the Trust’s UCLH top ten objectives, and demonstrate our Trust Values, behaviours and standards.

This post involves the daily management of the administrative processes attached to patient pathways, ensuring a smooth and efficient service for both multidisciplinary teams and patients.

You would be required to assist with RTT and slot utilisation for your department to meet the Trust’s access targets.

You will use the new EHRS system to collate clinic information in time for the clinics, book and reschedule appointments, retrieving information using various hospital systems, answering queries from patients, other departments and external sources as required.

Provide a receptionist service to our services across the Cancer Centre delivering a welcoming and supportive service to all service users.
