What might it look like to work here?
Stand by, we'll show you...
We are looking for a psychologist or psychological therapist to join our Trauma Informed Care team working in Achieve community drug and alcohol recovery service in Bury
Currently this is for a secondment for two days per week until the end of March 2025, with the hope that this could be extended once funding is confirmed for next financial year.
This is a great opportunity for an experienced therapist who would like to develop their understanding and skills of working with substance misuse and coexisting mental health using a trauma informed perspective. Our friendly team already includes three clinical psychologists, a CBT therapist and Dual Diagnosis lead, and we are looking to expand our offer of individual and group psychological therapies to our Bury team.
The main duties are to support the delivery of our 12 week groupwork programme for Trauma and Addiction coping skills (underpinned by CBT and CFT principles); and offer individual psychological therapy for individuals who have substance misuse and common mental health problems.
You will contribute to our weekly referrals meeting in working on creative ways to support people and staff in offering trauma informed perspective.
