As part of the Site Team, the Patient Flow Facilitator will facilitate patient flow by utilising capacity management systems and processes in place, working flexibly and collaboratively with the Patient Flow Coordinators.
Patient Flow Facilitators support senior members of the Site Team to enable the coordination of site capacity to timely balance emergency and elective flows effectively to meet activity demand across MRI.
The right candidate will have NHS experience and have a proactive 'can do' work ethos. You will be a dynamic individual with excellent organisation, time management and problem- solving skills who will work autonomously with minimal supervision within the Site Management Team.
You will be open minded to change and committed to the highest standard of service delivery over a 24/7 rota arrangement. This is an exiting time to join the Team as we review new ways of working to utilise electronic capacity management systems in place.

As part of the Site Team, the Patient Flow Facilitator will facilitate patient flow by utilising capacity management systems and processes in place, working flexibly and collaboratively with the Patient Flow Coordinators
in the Site Team, in-patient ward areas across all specialties; and closely with Site Managers. The post holder will be responsible for identifying and reporting available capacity to support the effective management of emergency, elective, repatriation and tertiary activity within Manchester Royal Infirmary.
As part of the Site Team, facilitate efficient patient flow by proactively progress chasing
barriers which are or may potentially affect discharge flow, working flexibly and collaboratively with Clinical Service Units and in-patient wards, multi-disciplinary professionals/departments and Discharge Teams to prevent/minimise delay in the patient journey. Have an awareness of the different discharge pathways and utilise agreed systems and processes to effectively manage allocated workload.
The post holder will work within several enabling processes with an aim to overcome issues arising within the remit of own role and responsibility, using a responsive and/or proactive approach as appropriate to the situation.
The post holder will have awareness to escalate unresolved barriers to the appropriate person to support resolution, to enable optimisation of patient outcomes and experience, escalating to line management if issues remain unresolved.
