Infection Prevention and Control (IPC) Support Worker

Hours: Full time 37 hrs per week



Location: Based on Foresterhill Campus

Role


An exciting opportunity has arisen for a dynamic, motivated and enthusiastic Healthcare Support Worker to join the IPC team in this new role across NHS Grampian to support with audit and surveillance activities and support to promote the IPC agenda. You will:

  • Support the surveillance, prevention and control of Healthcare Associated Infection (HAI) and communicable diseases.
  • Support investigation and control of outbreaks and incidents of infection. Enhance the patients’ experience of care.
  • Establish a close working relationship with all healthcare staff, patients and members of the public and provide advice and education on all aspects of infection prevention and control.
  • Contribute to the performance of the team.
  • Contribute to the annual work programme.
  • Contribute to the delivery of the organisations’ objectives.
  • Be involved in the implementation of infection prevention and control policies, procedures and guidelines throughout NHSG.
