In this role you will be the first point of contact for our service users, and the successful applicant should be able to demonstrate effective communication skills, organisational skills and empathy. Experience of working in a healthcare setting and knowledge would be desirable. Previous experience in an Outpatients setting would also be advantageous.

The successful candidate will provide a range of Clerical and Administrative support, including:

  • Being the central point of contact for requests from a range of people including patients, consultants, medical staff, managers and staff at all levels via the telephone, email and face to face.
  • Use multiple electronic systems including the electronic booking systems, to process patient's appointments in required time frame.
  • Ensuring clinics are utilised and appointments are booked appropriately.
  • Maintain the confidentiality of information about service user, staff and organisational business in accordance with the General DataProtection Regulation 2GDPR) and Caldicott principles.
  • Observe all the relevant Infection Prevention and Control policies in carrying out their duties.
