Do you have Stroke experience? Are you looking for a varied job working in the Community, with the opportunity to work across a bedded rehabilitation unit and Community in Hull and the East Riding? This could be the opportunity you have been looking for.
Are you looking for a post in an experienced multi-disciplinary Stroke service? This service is provided by a multidisciplinary team comprised of Specialist Stroke Nurses, Physiotherapists, Occupational Therapists, Speech and Language Therapists, Associate Practitioners and Administrative support.
Hull, which was City of Culture 2, has a lot to offer - with affordable housing, galleries, theatres, a vibrant music scene and easy road links to the Yorkshire Coast, Moors and Dales.
The team provides specialist stroke rehabilitation, using a goal setting approach, aiming to create an effective rehabilitation service for stroke survivors in Hull and the East Riding. There is a seven-day service in Hull however, the East Riding offers a 5-day service.
In-patient rehabilitation is provided via beds in our Community Stroke Unit, with community-based therapy continuing in the patient's own home. The successful applicant would be rotational between the bedded unit and Community.
The team has an innovative approach and has developed pioneering creative music making as therapy for stroke survivors, some of which has been done in conjunction with the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra.
Mentorship and supervision are provided by the senior staff within a friendly, multidisciplinary, supportive environment.
The ability to commute within the Trusts geographical area with access to the appropriate means of transport is essential.
