We are inviting applications for the post of two CT 1/2 in the Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery Department at St George's Hospital, London.

We welcome applicants who have had at least 1 year of experience in Plastic Surgery Departments in the NHS and are looking to secure a national training number in Plastic Surgery. We will tailor the experience and opportunities to the level of the successful applicant.

Main duties of the job

This post will be associated with the trauma teams and will work directly with the clinical team.

St George's Healthcare NHS Trust is one of the largest teaching hospitals in the UK, closely integrated to the St George's Hospital Medical School, part of the University of London. We are a joint cancer centre with the Royal Marsden and one of the key providers of secondary and tertiary services in SW London. We are one of the few Trusts in England to provide both acute neurosciences and cardiothoracic services on one site.

Applications are invited for X2 locum CT posts in Plastics and Reconstructive Surgery.

You will join our team which includes ten consultant Plastic Surgeons, two locum consultant Plastic Surgeons, 17 junior doctors and two Associate Specialists, covering a comprehensive range of sub specialty expertise and interests, including all aspects of upper limb surgery, breast reconstruction, paediatric plastic surgery, skin oncology and melanoma, lower limb reconstruction and head & neck reconstruction. We operate a hub and spoke model providing outreach services in South West London.

The post holder will join the plastic surgery non-resident on-call and leave rota which is compliant with the Working Time Regulations.

We have a Physician's Associate and 3 FY1 doctors. We work closely with our specialty nurses, hand therapists, admin and management staff to provide a high standard of care to our patients. We operate a hub and spoke model providing outreach services in other hospitals across Southwest London.
