Renfrewshire Council is seeking a motivated and skilled Early Learning and Childcare Officer to support the creation of a safe and engaging nursery environment for children. The role involves implementing a relevant curriculum, planning and evaluating activities, tracking children's developmental progress, and encouraging parental involvement. Candidates must have experience in early learning and childcare, a relevant qualification (such as HNC in Childhood Practice or equivalent), and an understanding of child development, along with the ability to work flexibly to meet service needs.
This temporary position is dependent on business requirements and funding for a duration of six months or until the need for the role ends. Successful applicants will need to meet the registration requirements of the SSSC as a Practitioner in Day Care of Children Services and must undergo a Disclosure Scotland check.

Renfrewshire Council is looking to recruit an enthusiastic and skilled Early Learning and Childcare Officer.
The main duties of the post are: to contribute to the provision of a safe, caring and stimulating nursery environment for all children; to contribute and implement a relevant curriculum in line with national and local guidance; to plan, record, implement and evaluate suitable programmes of activities; to maintain and record children's assessment progress and to promote parental participation.
It is essential you have experience of working or training in an early learning and childcare setting, have an awareness of assessment and documentation of children's learning in line with national and local guidance and be able to demonstrate an ability to plan and deliver a relevant and inclusive curriculum.
You must be able to demonstrate knowledge of child development and have the ability to work flexibility to meet the needs of the service.
You must hold a relevant practice qualification in early learning and childcare such as HNC in Childhood practice at SCQF level 7 or SVQ Social Services (Children and Young People) at SCQF level 7 or equivalent.
Successful applications, must within the designated timeline, meet the registration requirements of SSSC as Practitioner of Day Care of Children Service.
