Job Overview

The successful candidate will play an important role in the redesign of service provision in light of the Health Boards Clinical Futures strategy, and the Welsh Government Future Delivery of Pathology Services in Wales document.

You will be working within a team to provide a clinical and laboratory Cellular Pathology service to a catchment population of 600,000. The laboratory has full UKAS ISO15189 accreditation, and is networked to provide a comprehensive Cellular Pathology service to the area.

The successful candidate will play an important role in reporting the Health Board's current histopathology backlog with the bulk of the work being GI and skin backlogs but the ability to report other specialties will be beneficial.
