The Principal Clinical Psychologist role at Alfabétiko in London involves providing high-quality psychological services to the Tower Hamlets Mental Health Care for Older People (MHCOP). This position requires leadership in collaboration with the Lead Consultant Clinical Psychologist, ensuring the delivery of evidence-based psychological care across various settings, including community mental health teams, memory clinics, inpatient wards, and outpatient services. The successful candidate will also be tasked with mentoring and training multidisciplinary team members and contributing specialist psychological perspectives to enhance patient care for those experiencing severe and complex mental health issues and dementia-related challenges.

Candidates should possess a postgraduate Doctorate in Clinical Psychology, registration with the Health and Care Professionals Council, and substantial experience within NHS settings, particularly with older adults facing severe mental health challenges. The role demands strong interpersonal and analytical skills to navigate sensitive situations, provide therapeutic interventions, and foster effective relationships with colleagues and service users. The position is part-time and offers flexibility in work arrangements, with a salary range of £70,387 to £80,465 per annum.
