The Pathway Assistant role is an exciting opportunity to join our administration team which provides first class administration and reception services to the Division.
University College London Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust (UCLH), situated in the West End of London, is one of the largest NHS trusts in the United Kingdom and provides first class acute and specialist services both locally and to patients from throughout the UK and abroad.The Trust has an international reputation and a tradition of innovation. Our excellence in research and development was recognised in December 2006 when it was announced that, in partnership with University College London (UCL), we would be one of the country’s five comprehensive biomedical research centres.
The Division of GI Services includes the medical and surgical specialities of hepatopancreatobiliary (HPB), colorectal, upper GI cancer, obesity, nutrition and vascular services. The Division is responsible for a 50 bedded ward, Endoscopy Unit and a GI Physiology Unit. We see around 700 patients in out-patient clinics and perform around 300 inpatient procedures per week. Our administration team are vital to the smooth running of these services.
The Pathway Assistant role is an exciting opportunity to join our administration team which provides first class administration and reception services to the Division. As part of our Patient Pathway team, you will be responsible for creating, tracking and updating clinic letters for both Outpatient and Inpatients within GI Medicine. The post holder will also cover reception duties for GI Physiology.
Successful candidates will have previous administration experience and either experience of working in an NHS organisation or a desire to work within a healthcare organisation. They will be able to communicate with a range of patients and colleagues and possess excellent team working, negotiation and organisation skills. Above all they will be committed to helping us deliver excellent patient care.
