Join our passionate team at Royal Manchester Children's Hospital as a Youth Worker with Manchester University NHS Foundation Trust! This rewarding role offers the chance to make a real difference in the lives of young people facing long-term health challenges. Primarily working Monday to Friday, with occasional weekends and evenings, you will provide essential support to help these young individuals navigate their social and emotional needs, both in the hospital and the community.

With a minimum of two years' experience in youth work, whether in the NHS, voluntary sector, or community services, you will collaborate with a dedicated multi-disciplinary team, including doctors, nurses, and health specialists. Your skills in active listening and empathy will shine as you advocate for young people transitioning from children's to adult healthcare services. If you’re a creative, self-motivated individual who can handle challenging situations with resilience, we want you to inspire and guide young people through engaging one-to-one sessions, group activities, and thought-provoking youth forums. Embrace this opportunity to foster a culture of inclusion and belonging while being part of a pioneering healthcare organisation that prioritises your growth and well-being.

If you're excited about making a meaningful impact, contact Nicola Rigby, Youth Service Manager, at nicola.rigby@mft.nhs.uk or call 07976652937 for an informal chat. Your journey to empower young lives starts here!

This revolutionary system aimed to ensure that access to medical services would not depend on an individual’s financial situation, a concept that has since become fundamental to British societal values.Learn more...
