The Northamptonshire Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a compassionate and motivated Band 3 Healthcare Assistant to join their team in the older adult inpatient wards at Berrywood Hospital. This role involves caring for service users aged 65 and over who are experiencing mental health challenges, such as anxiety and depression. The successful candidate will engage in activities that promote well-being, work collaboratively in a multi-disciplinary environment, and participate in shift work, including weekends and nights. The Trust is dedicated to continuous improvement in care and offers a supportive induction program, including the Care Certificate, to develop essential skills for staff.

Candidates should have experience in healthcare and a genuine interest in caring for older adults. Key qualities include excellent communication, reliability, and resilience in a demanding setting. Essential qualifications include good literacy and numeracy skills, while previous experience in mental health care is desirable. The position offers a salary range of £24,071 to £25,674 per annum, pro rata, with opportunities for professional development within the NHS framework.
