The Dartford and Gravesham NHS Trust is looking for a Specialty Doctor in General Surgery to join their team at Darent Valley Hospital. Candidates must have full GMC Registration with a license to practice and have completed foundation training or possess equivalent experience. Proficiency in computer usage and strong written and spoken English skills are required. The role entails participating in clinical duties, including on-call responsibilities and internal cover arrangements during the absence of registrars and middle grades. The appointee will also be expected to visit patients across various facilities within the Trust as directed by the Consultant.

The Post holder undertakes, exceptionally, to perform additional duties in occasional emergencies and unforeseen circumstances, eg cover “on call” duties.
The clinical commitments required of the appointee will be as detailed in the Weekly Programme of Duties though service needs may require alteration of the timetable without notice. The appointee will be required to visit any patient in any establishment forming part of the Trust at the request of the Consultant. The appointee will be required to be full shift rota and will be required to take part in Internal Cover arrangements during the absence of the Registrars and middle grades on annual or study leave.
