The role of Principal Psychologist at HMP Wealstun, part of the integrated Mental Healthcare team with Practice Plus Group, offers an opportunity for an experienced psychologist to contribute significantly to mental health services within a category C men's prison. The ideal candidate will have substantial experience in handling adult mental health issues, including neurodiversity and complex trauma, and must be well-versed in trauma-informed care techniques. This part-time position entails responsibilities such as providing clinical oversight, conducting psychological assessments, delivering psychological interventions, and offering training to healthcare and prison staff. The job consists of 27 hours per week, with a salary of up to £63,300 per annum, depending on experience.

Candidates must possess full HCPC registration, a proven background in Clinical, Forensic, or Counselling Psychology, and experience with forensic mental health patients.
