Northumbria Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust is seeking two full-time Assistant Psychologists to join their children and families division, specifically within the neurodevelopmental pathway. Ideal candidates are creative and enthusiastic individuals passionate about delivering high-quality services to neurodiverse populations. Positions involve clinical service delivery across Birmingham, working closely with qualified psychologists and multidisciplinary teams to conduct specialist psychological assessments for individuals, groups, and families.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct evidence-based psychological assessments of children using various methods (e.g., psychometric tests, interviews).
  • Assist in developing support plans for children and families under the supervision of qualified psychologists.
  • Coordinate and facilitate pre and post-assessment groups.
  • Collaborate with staff to prepare for multidisciplinary reviews and contribute to team meetings.
  • Communicate sensitive information to families and document clinical observations.
  • Reflect on emotional challenges when dealing with complex client issues.
