The Mungo Foundation is seeking a Project Worker for the West End Project in Dumbarton, offering a part-time position of 22 hours per week with a salary of £24,108 per annum, pro rata. This permanent role involves providing support to individuals aged 18 to 65 with physical disabilities and acquired brain injuries, assisting them in developing skills, enhancing confidence, and fostering social connections to combat loneliness and isolation. The Project Worker will help facilitate classes focused on hand-eye coordination and dexterity while guiding participants in various activities like art and computer skills.
Candidates should ideally possess a valid driver's license and must be prepared to work toward a qualification aligned with regulatory requirements if they lack one. We are opened two and half days a week providing classes that will help people with their hand to eye coordination, dexterity also boasting people's confidence by learning new skills. The West End Project provides a valuable service to people who experience loneliness and isolation, allowing them to meet people and make lasting friendships.
Hi, Im M and I attend the West End Project in Dumbarton. The West End Project Is a day opportunity service. I have attended the project for many years learning new skills. I attend the Art class and am supported by the staff team and an Art tutor to work on my Art skills. The computer class I attend is so much fun, I love being able to mix with other like-minded people. I have made many friends over the years and don't know how I would manage without coming to the project.
Hi, I'm B and I attend the West End Project. I enjoy coming into the project for the computer class. I am actively looking for a job and the staff support me with my job search on the computer. There is a volunteer who will also help me with any issues i have on the computer. I stay for lunch and love to chat with everyone who attends. We always have a good laugh.
