Job Overview

The Urology service is currently looking to appoint an enthusiastic, motivated person to join our team to support the outpatient booking team in the delivery of key services and cancer targets within the Surgery Division.

The post holder will provide a comprehensive booking support service to consultant and junior medical staff within the service. This will include organising, planning and prioritising tasks and workload.

As a service, it is vitally important in that we provide a high quality service to patients, therefore if you are interested in joining a highly motivated team - it would be great to hear from you.

Main duties of the job

  • Ensure cancer targets are achieved
  • Ensure patients are prevented from breaching targets
  • Clinic capacity is utilised and cancellations are kept to a minimum
  • Regular communication with the Team Leader and Urology consultants and clinical nursing team.
  • All appointments are booked within internal and national targets, including RTT and ‘Treat in Turn’
  • Patient focused booking and direct patient booking are utilised to increase clinic utilisation and reduce DNA rates
  • Ensure an efficient telephone service is maintained

The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; Welsh and/or English speakers are equally welcome to apply.
