The Manchester University NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a Youth Worker for its Complications of Excess Weight Service (CEW) based at the Royal Manchester Children's Hospital. This role will focus on supporting children and young people aged 11-25 who are facing challenges related to unhealthy weight. The Youth Worker will operate in both healthcare and community settings, collaborating with multidisciplinary teams, including nurses, dieticians, and psychologists, to address the social and well-being needs of young patients. Responsibilities include delivering training to hospital and community staff, providing holistic care, and facilitating one-on-one and group sessions to encourage healthy living.

Applicants must possess a Youth Work Diploma or a related qualification, along with a minimum of two years of relevant experience in a healthcare setting. The position entails a 37.5-hour work week on a 12-month fixed-term contract, with potential for extension, and requires availability for evening and weekend shifts.
