Job Summary: Assistant Psychologist (fixed term 1 yr)
Dorset HealthCare University NHS Foundation Trust is seeking an Assistant Psychologist for a fixed-term role (12 months) based at Alderney Hospital in Poole, focusing on assessment and diagnosis of individuals experiencing cognitive decline and memory issues, potentially related to dementia. The position involves supporting a clinical team through high-quality assessments in various settings including clinics and home visits across Dorset, necessitating a valid driver’s license and travel capability (expenses covered).
Candidates should possess relevant qualifications and experience, particularly in cognitive assessments, and have strong organizational and communication skills. The role requires consistent engagement during core hours (Monday to Friday, 09:00 to 17:00) and is not available for part-time or job-sharing arrangements. The Assistant Psychologist will work under the supervision of the neuropsychology team and participate in therapeutic activities aimed at aiding timely diagnoses.
