Do you have a calm, caring nature and a heart for supporting older people during the night? We’re looking for a Night Care Worker to join our dedicated team—someone who can offer comfort, compassion and reassurance when the world is quiet and most in need of peace.
This is a role where your presence matters. You’ll be part of a warm, professional team working through the night to ensure that each person in our care feels safe, respected and valued.

As we do our work in Christ’s name the job you have applied for requires you to have a Christian faith and be able to work within and uphold our Christian Ethos. This is an Occupational Requirement under Part 1 of Schedule 9 to the Equality Act 2.
This post requires you to be a member of the Protecting Vulnerable Groups (PVG) Scheme and undertake the necessary vetting checks. You will also be required to be registered with SSSC and it is your professional responsibility to ensure that you meet the standards and criteria for registration.

What You'll Be Doing
- Providing wakeful night duty cover as part of a multidisciplinary team
- Acting as a key worker for specific individuals—planning and reviewing care in partnership with others
- Supporting each person’s physical, emotional, social and spiritual needs in line with our Christian ethos and mission
- Assisting with personal and intimate care
- Helping individuals use aids and equipment safely and confidently
- Liaising with health professionals, particularly during times of illness or at end of life
- Promoting mental and physical wellbeing
- Maintaining a clean, safe and personalised living space
- Keeping accurate records and attending meetings as needed
- Working on a rota basis, including evenings and weekends
- A committed Christian, with a desire to express your faith through the care and support you provide each night
- A caring, respectful approach to working with older people
- Basic computer literacy (including Microsoft Office and online learning)
- SVQ 3 in Social Care—or a willingness to achieve it within a set time
