NHS Scotland is looking for enthusiastic, GPhC registered Pharmacy Technicians for the role of Pharmacy Technician Primary Care, Band 4, in Aberdeenshire. Full-time and part-time positions are available, requiring a minimum of three days per week. The role involves working collaboratively with local teams of pharmacists and pharmacy technicians to deliver various pharmacotherapy services in GP practices across Aberdeenshire. Candidates should possess strong communication and interpersonal skills, have a driving license, and be able to work independently as well as part of a team.

Successful applicants will receive on-the-job training to perform diverse tasks, including medicines reconciliation and handling pharmaceutical queries. Positions will involve both on-site work in GP practices and remote work from a designated base within one of the six cluster areas of Aberdeenshire. We are looking for enthusiastic, GPhC registered Pharmacy Technicians to join the Pharmacy teams to deliver Pharmacotherapy services to practices within Aberdeenshire H&SCP. We have opportunities available to facilitate service delivery with local teams of Pharmacists and Pharmacy Technicians across areas of Aberdeenshire.

The ideal candidates will be able to work well within a team, under direction and on their own initiative. Through on the job support and training successful candidates will gain experience to allow them to undertake a wide range of tasks to support seamless care such as medicines reconciliation, Medicines Care & Review, Pharmaceutical queries including management of shortage and promoting quality, cost-effective prescribing.

You may have a community, hospital or primary care pharmacy background.

Good communication, interpersonal and time management skills are essential. Full driving licence and use of a car is required.

Post holders will work across an agreed cluster area, this will involve onsite working in GP Practices and remote working from an agreed base. The six cluster areas within Aberdeenshire are Buchan, Banff & Fraserburgh, Formartine, Garioch, Marr and Kincardine & Mearns. Bases and area of work will be discussed at interview.
