The Northumbria Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a qualified psychological practitioner/therapist to join the Southampton Acute and Crisis Psychology Team for a fixed 12-month term. The ideal candidate should be an accredited therapist in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Mentalisation-Based Treatment (MBT), or Cognitive Analytic Therapy (CAT). The role entails providing high-quality, recovery-focused care to adults experiencing a range of mental health challenges, including psychosis and trauma, within an inpatient and crisis service environment. Responsibilities include conducting assessments, delivering evidence-based psychological interventions, managing care plans, and engaging in training and professional development.

The position is based at Antelope House in Southampton, which serves as an acute mental health inpatient unit and a hub for the Crisis Resolution Home Treatment Team. The successful applicant will need to demonstrate experience in psychological assessments and treatment, possess excellent communication skills, and contribute to a team culture centered around quality improvement and supportive dynamics.
