NHS Ayrshire & Arran is seeking compassionate and reliable individuals for the role of Social Care Assistant at Gairloch Residential home in Aberdeenshire. This rewarding position offers the chance to make a meaningful difference in the lives of residents by providing high-quality care that prioritizes their daily needs and overall well-being. While previous experience in social care is beneficial, it is not necessary, and candidates should be willing to pursue an SVQ 2 in Social Care within five years of their appointment. A full induction and ongoing training will be provided, with support from experienced practitioners and managers.
The ideal candidates should possess a strong motivation and enthusiasm for delivering responsive care, and they will work under direction as valued team members. We deliver a high standard of flexible and responsive care to ensure the best quality of life for the people we support.. This post is vital to ensuring the wellbeing of the residents to receive all the support to meet their daily needs and a fulfilled life within the home
Previous experience in social care is desirable but not essential. This post requires you to register with the SSSC. To meet this requirement, a SVQ 2 in Social Care, or other relevant qualification or a willingness to work towards this qualification as a Support Worker in a Care Home Service within 5 years of appointment. A full Induction will be provided alongside any training that you will require to undertake the role. Your development will be supported by a Team of experienced practitioners and managers.
