We are pleased to announce an exciting opportunity for a permanent Band 6 Deputy Sister/ Charge Nurse on Ward 25. Ward 25 is currently a surgical urology ward taking acute and elective patients. However, we are excited to begin taking gynaecological elective and acute admissions over the next few months.
We will also be moving to a brand-new purpose built ward in May which will provide a much better environment for patients and staff.
We ask for a minimum of two years at band 5 and must also be working to or have completed a leadership course.
Working closely alongside the Ward Sister and your Band 6 colleagues you will have the opportunity to develop your leadership, knowledge, and skills in all aspects of the running of the ward.
We are seeking a motivated and resilient individual with a keen interest in patient experience and a positive and progressive outlook, to assist our team to provide excellent care for all urology and gynaecology patients.
You will possess excellent communication skills and will need to be flexible to work in an acute environment whilst maintaining patient safety and seeking to provide a positive patient experience.
This is a great opportunity to develop your management and leadership skills. Evidence of your ability to create an effective learning environment is essential. You will need to be able to demonstrate excellent clinical skills and be able to support junior colleagues in their development.
This is a fully flexible role working days, nights, and weekends.
