If the answer is yes, then we are looking for an enthusiastic and motivated AO Administrative Officer to join our encouraging and welcoming team of dedicated military and civilian healthcare professionals and administrative staff working at Beachley Barracks, Chepstow.
The vacant post is a full-time position working 37 hours per week. Part-time candidates will be considered but due to service delivery requirements it must be on a job share basis as full-time hours need to be covered.

Job Description
The Practice Medical Administrator will work to the Practice Manager as part of a small team providing Primary Healthcare. They will have delegated responsibility for the efficient administration of Chepstow Medical Centre.
The duties will include creating daily clinics on Defence Medical Information Capability Program (DMICP), booking patients in at reception, maintenance and administration of electronic medical records, typing, filing and patient liaison.

Person specification
The duties and responsibilities of the role include, but are not limited to:
- Maintenance of the practice clinic diary including loading clinics onto Medical Information Technology (IT) System.
- Receiving and booking appointments
- Administering duties for medical IT systems including creating accounts for locums and new staff.
- Registering ‘new arrivals’ at the centre, and ensuring new arrival appointments are made.
