The Aneurin Bevan University Health Board is seeking a motivated Band 2 Theatre Assistant/Health Care Support Worker to join the Day Surgery Unit at Nevill Hall Hospital in Abergavenny. The successful candidate will assist qualified staff in providing safe pre and post-operative care to patients across various surgical disciplines, including Orthopaedics, General Surgery, Gynaecology, and more. Key responsibilities include performing and recording observations, preparing patients for theatre, escorting them, and maintaining a clean ward area. The role offers training opportunities to ensure high-quality care and may require flexibility to work at other sites within the health board.

Candidates should possess an NVQ Level 2 in Health and Social Care and demonstrate knowledge of the role in their application. Good communication skills, adaptability, and a caring attitude are essential. While the ability to speak Welsh is desirable, applications from both Welsh and English speakers are welcomed.
